OZ!
Hi folks,
Tom and me are in Australia for quite a while now.
It`s still off season so we are waiting for the wind to kick in more often and more predictable.
We have a great time here at the west coast though, visiting new places and meeting loads of new people.
Although it`s still off season we had some sick sessions already. Even worse considering that we haven`t even uploaded any footage so far.
We have already taken a lot of life style shots so now it was time for some action shots.
We waited till the evening for some wind to kick in and the sun to set.
It was the right decision. The light was just mind blowing and the conditions were just good enough to do some tricks.
That was good because the thing with good conditions is that everbody just forgets about the footage and goes out on his own.
In the end Mark Richardson took these awesome shots on my camera with canon lense 70-300mm.
Thanks for that.
And of course some life style shots and two action shots of Tom

The Context - What it's all about.
Hi guys,
after a long time I finally finished my new video. It shows that sometimes you just want to go out and ride instead of sitting waiting. Even if it's a nice moment it's all about riding sometimes.
Anyone who watches the video will recognize that allthough it's all about riding sometimes this Video has some very atmospheric close ups! Exactly the contrast I imagined to create!
Now have a look!

Time for an update!
Capetown at night!
Since the end of 2010 I haven't written anything about whats happening and I should really be more focused on updating my homepage than in the last few months.
So since december 2010 I'm not longer supported by NPX. Instead C-skins offered to support me from that day on. C-skins are some really high quality surf wetsuits which are really as thick as the number on the suit says. Have a lookt at their page.
Then from the end of february I went to South Africa with my sister for 4 weeks. There we had a lot of time to kite, to go wakeboarding and surfing of course. It was already end of season so the wind wasn't as much and as often as we expected it to be. But we still had a lot of good session. In the last week we started to drive along the Garden Route. Well, at least a part of it which was really awesome. I learned to surf a little bit and now I'm willing to keep close to this sport as well.

What's going on? Slingshot on board!
Great News!
Since a few weeks my sponsors and me talked a lot about season 2010 and a few days ago I made my decision.
From the beginning of 2010 I will ride Slingshotkites and Slingshotboards exclusively.
In 2009 I allready decided for Slingshotkites and the RPM gave me the chance for a lot of progresses, so I can't really imagine to ride another kite anymore.
Considering such a great teamwork with Slingshot, specially on the Worldcup 2009 I wasn't able do decline their offer they made me. Another important reason was that a teamwork with the same kites and boards seemed to be more effective for each us.
I'm looking forward to ride the new RPM and freestyleboards by Slingshot in the next season and I'm very thankful for that.
On the other side this means a goodbye for the cooperation between me and Underground as well as FamousFrank.
Allthough I think this was the right decision it was still very hard for me.
I allways thought and I still think that Undergroundboards belong to the group of world's best kitesurfingproducts, no doubt.
Since December 2007 I rode Undergroundboards and FamousFrank was my first sponsor. This was a great time for me in which kitesurfing became part of my life.
So I can hardly imagine that I can do justice to the things Underground and FamousFrank have done for me.
Specially Frank Rosin who wasn't just a sponsor but also a friend who gave me a better understandig of the kitesurfingworld. He treated me as fair and nice as he does with every normal client. Thank you for everything! Really!
But now I'm really excited about the upcoming season. Can't wait.
Stay tuned!

Last weeks in Kiel
Hey there,
here are the latest News:
About 5 weeks ago I hurt my hand during a skatingsession. Well after one week I started hooked Kiteboarding again. It was ok because we had about 40 knots and I was totaly lit on my RPM 6 and with my 20 meter lines: Some sick Kiteloops.
Anyway, one week later I tried unhooked again and it worked. You can see some pictures.
This Monday I went to the doctor and he told me not to do anything because I have an inflammation in my wrist. So I have to do a break for about 2,5 weeks. At the moment we have no wind anyway and I can go skating.
I hope we have a nice storm soon.
Nevertheless I've got enough to do. I just a few weeks I'll write my A-levels and the exams are allready very hard but at the end of spring I will have finished school.
Aditionally I'm going to work on the design of my website and the next plan is to buy a good HD-Camera to create better videos.
Stay tuned!

Kitesurftrophy Final Fehmarn
So, last weekend we competed on the last Trophystop on Fehmarn. We had crazy winds and a lot of fun.
For met it was a very successful weekend. I was able to win in my first heat against Tobias Hölter and my second heat against Rick Jensen. After these I lost the semifinal against Stefan Permien, so I had to compete in the looserfinal against Jan Schiegnitz for the third place.
It didn't went well. After a blindjudge, a 313 and a backmobe I wanted to do a Sbendpass and a Back2Blind AP but I smashed both times.
At the end I reached the forth place. I'm super happy about that because the mens devision is much harder than the juniors devision last year.
Finally, now we know the overall-ranking for the german championships 2009. For me it's the 6th place this year but I'm fine with that because we had about 33 competitors.

Slingshot 09
I'm very proud to present my new kite-sponsor for the new Year 2009. For those who know me better, it's not a big suprise. I thought about it for a long time. But since today it's official: Slingshot will support me now. I just took my new Fuels I tested in the last month.
Thanks to Carved who supported me in the past.
That doesn't mean that I'm not longer part of the FamousFrank.com-Team but rather that I'm part of the Undergroundteam as well and today I ride Undergroundboards more passionate than ever befor.
So you can still aks me Questions about everything concering Underground.

KLC 08 - winner in "highest Kiteloop"
This Weekend we had the fourth Kiteloop Contest ever here in Laboe.
Saturday we had really nice conditions, and I learned a lot. I almost landed a L3 and I'm close to a Frontmobe.
For a few times I was lit on my 10 and I tried some high hooked kiteloops.
That's probably the reason why I was able to win the KLC 08 with the "highest Kiteloop".
So this was a nice event. I hope next year it's going to be as awesome as this weekend or even better. We'll see.
Here you can see a few pictures.

German Championship 08 - 3th Place for Lasse Schneppenheim - Juniors Freestyle
Underground erfolgreich
I'm back from the German Championship and the Kitesurftrophy 08 in St. Peter-Ording. And first of all: Yes Dudes, I made the third place in the "Juniors"
It was a very nice Event and it was great to see all the other guys again, although the last time wasn't long time ago.
So the first day, there was "no wind".
Tim Kummerfeld, Christian Brill and the other guys took me to a "secret spot" for east-wind. Its was great. The wind was offshore, and there was no wave. It was warm and I was able to ride for 4 hours in my boardshort. I just did all my wakestyletricks, grabbed back to blind, switch to blidn and so on.
The next day we started Race but just for women and men. But in the evening there was a huge tide-way and we all were able to do our best tricks in front of the viewers. I made some huge double-Sbends and a grabbed back to blind. Also I made a very nice backmobe, but I didnt land it. The wind was perfect for my 10.
The next day the single elimintaion in freestyle started. I lost against Tim Kummerfeld in the second heat. Stefan was able to get up to the second place.
In the evening I went very tired and sick. So I wasn't able to make party. I slept for 10 hours and at Sunday I was still a little bit sick and tired.
However, the double elimination started. And I went on further and further until I had my heat for the third place against Florian Staben. I won.
The next heat was against Felix Sorou. I lost my board after 3 minutes and the tide took it under the restaurant there. So I lost.
Tim was able to beat Felix again with a huge and impressive L3, so he made the first place. I feel very happy for my Teammate Tim Kummerfeld. Congratulation.
Stefan Permien lost against Mario Rodwald so he made the second place. However it's a big thing and that's awesome. Of course, Congratulation for Mario.
For the women it was very exciting again but in the end Sabrina Lutz was able to keep her title as the german champion.
Nice one Sabrina.
For me, the third place in the "Juniors" is very cool. It is my first year in the KST and my first german championship. The conditions were very hard, but I gave the best and won a lot of heats. It was awesome. Also the tricks at the Juniors go on and on. Al lot of people can do backmobe, Kgb, Kiteloophandlepass and Slimchance. So it's not very easy anymore.
