Winter
Hey there!
As most of you know this was a very hard and cold winter full of snow.
So I decided to have a little break not just because of the temperature but because of some injuries to recover.
Although my plan was to spend some time in school to prepare for upcoming A-level exams I also used the snow to try snowkiting. It went pretty well but frozen water isn't really my favorite.
So now I'm waiting for my 2010 stuff and for my exams. After these I'll be on the water as much as I can.
I reuploaded an Video from atumn 2008. Some of you'll remember, some other won't but have a look. It was nice work.

What's going on? Slingshot on board!
Great News!
Since a few weeks my sponsors and me talked a lot about season 2010 and a few days ago I made my decision.
From the beginning of 2010 I will ride Slingshotkites and Slingshotboards exclusively.
In 2009 I allready decided for Slingshotkites and the RPM gave me the chance for a lot of progresses, so I can't really imagine to ride another kite anymore.
Considering such a great teamwork with Slingshot, specially on the Worldcup 2009 I wasn't able do decline their offer they made me. Another important reason was that a teamwork with the same kites and boards seemed to be more effective for each us.
I'm looking forward to ride the new RPM and freestyleboards by Slingshot in the next season and I'm very thankful for that.
On the other side this means a goodbye for the cooperation between me and Underground as well as FamousFrank.
Allthough I think this was the right decision it was still very hard for me.
I allways thought and I still think that Undergroundboards belong to the group of world's best kitesurfingproducts, no doubt.
Since December 2007 I rode Undergroundboards and FamousFrank was my first sponsor. This was a great time for me in which kitesurfing became part of my life.
So I can hardly imagine that I can do justice to the things Underground and FamousFrank have done for me.
Specially Frank Rosin who wasn't just a sponsor but also a friend who gave me a better understandig of the kitesurfingworld. He treated me as fair and nice as he does with every normal client. Thank you for everything! Really!
But now I'm really excited about the upcoming season. Can't wait.
Stay tuned!

Last weeks in Kiel

Hey there,
here are the latest News:
About 5 weeks ago I hurt my hand during a skatingsession. Well after one week I started hooked Kiteboarding again. It was ok because we had about 40 knots and I was totaly lit on my RPM 6 and with my 20 meter lines: Some sick Kiteloops.
Anyway, one week later I tried unhooked again and it worked. You can see some pictures.
This Monday I went to the doctor and he told me not to do anything because I have an inflammation in my wrist. So I have to do a break for about 2,5 weeks. At the moment we have no wind anyway and I can go skating.

I hope we have a nice storm soon.
Nevertheless I've got enough to do. I just a few weeks I'll write my A-levels and the exams are allready very hard but at the end of spring I will have finished school.
Aditionally I'm going to work on the design of my website and the next plan is to buy a good HD-Camera to create better videos.
Stay tuned!

New Video
Len10ProbarYesterday I had a nice little Session in Laboe. So we filmed a little bit. The wind was about 28 Knots and I was lightly powered on my 8. What a shame, there was dirt on my cam so, the quality is even worse this time. Sorry 'bout that.
Anyway yesterday I still rode my 23 m normal bar.
Today after a long time of waiting my Len10-Probar is here. I'm so excited about that. Specially because of the short lines which are much stronger than the normal ones.

Keagnes, School
Life runs so fast. Today was my first day in school again which ist the beginning of the last year for me.
One week before, I went to DK with some friends. Their we had a small shooting. I don't know now but I'll see the results soon. Hope we made 1 or 2 nice pictures.
Anyway, we had a lot of fun there. We started in Kiel in the evening and arrived when it was already dark. The next day we woke up very early to do a few moves. After 30 Minutes we made a rest to sleep until 3 P.M. on the beach. Then I had a great Session lit on my 8. I did some Megaloops, high BJ3s and Kiteloopbackloops with Grabs.
And we did everything in perfectly flat water. Epic!

Kitesurftrophy Final Fehmarn
So, last weekend we competed on the last Trophystop on Fehmarn. We had crazy winds and a lot of fun.
For met it was a very successful weekend. I was able to win in my first heat against Tobias Hölter and my second heat against Rick Jensen. After these I lost the semifinal against Stefan Permien, so I had to compete in the looserfinal against Jan Schiegnitz for the third place.
It didn't went well. After a blindjudge, a 313 and a backmobe I wanted to do a Sbendpass and a Back2Blind AP but I smashed both times.
At the end I reached the forth place. I'm super happy about that because the mens devision is much harder than the juniors devision last year.
Finally, now we know the overall-ranking for the german championships 2009. For me it's the 6th place this year but I'm fine with that because we had about 33 competitors.
And now I've got something special for you.
I proudly present my new video -SPARETIME-
It's just an collection of 2 or 3 sessions I had in the holidays.
Have fun with it.

Into the Summer
Ok guys,
it's a long time since I've written the last News.
Here is just a little summary of the last weeks.
After presenting my last video 'Hit It' I went do Warnemünde for the third Trophystop. I didn't went very well when I tried unhookedstuff in 7 Bft lit on my 8.
Now I'm just back from the Worldcup in St. Peter Ording. I didn't compete but I trained a bit and I worked for Slingshot and of course some party. One and a half nice weeks.
Something special was last thursday when the wind went up to 40 knots and I loved to do some huge megaloops like I used to.
Before the firts heats began I was allready out on my 7 m² fuel. I was so overpowered that some guys had to carry me from the land to water beacause I wasn't able to handle the power. When I did my first loops it seems to be a little bit unfamiliar to me because I was used to the RPM but after a few minutes I did crazy loops. It was awesome.
Later Ruben Len10 joined on the water.
Sick! He was out on his 7 and I was out on my 6 RPM.
Not enough power for epic loops on my 6 but with some waves I were able to get up high again.
Now I'm back and I learned a few things which I want to practice here in Kiel now. I just want to do my moves more radically.
So, see you on the water guys and have a nice Summer.
Stay tuned!

Seasonopening
So, I haven't done anything on the website for a long time. Now it's up to me again to write what's new. I'm just back from the first trophystop of the german Kitesurftrophy 2009. The first one was in Dahme. We just had wind for one day so there was a lot of party as well. This year I have to compete in the man-devision. It's not possible to compare juniors with men. It's a lot harder. Also it did'nt go well for me. I didn't rode well enough to have a great success but also I didn't have much luck last friday. So for me it's the 7th place this time. I'm fine with that.
The second thing is that I'm working on my next video.
I just finished the trailer, which you can watch here.

flat water
Last wednesday, some friends and me drove to Fehmarn to go ripping in perfectly flat water. But when we arrived, we saw that there is not that much wind we excpected to be. How ever, it was enough for my 11 Fuel. When I tried all of my wakestyletricks I quickly realized that after 2 months 0f a minimum of kitesurfing and almost no wakestyle
my muscularity went down.
So for me it was disappointing.

Slingshot 09
I'm very proud to present my new kite-sponsor for the new Year 2009. For those who know me better, it's not a big suprise. I thought about it for a long time. But since today it's official: Slingshot will support me now. I just took my new Fuels I tested in the last month.
Of course I had a great time with Carved when I joined my first Trophy Stop 2008 or when we had the Testcenter in St. Peter-Ording during the Worldcup. And today I know everyone of them much better but when it comes to kites, I like the pure C. That's why I chose to ride Slingshot Fuel.
Testing the 9m² Fuel 09That doesn't mean that I'm not longer part of the FamousFrank.com-Team but rather that I'm part of the Undergroundteam as well and today I ride Undergroundboards more passionate than ever befor.
So you can still aks me Questions about everything concering Underground.
And also you can convince yourself of the 2009 Slingshot-Kites.
I'll mainly ride the Fuels in 7, 9, 11 and 13 but soon you can also see me with the new RPM. Feel free to ask me what ever you want to know about Slingshot-Kites.

It's cold outside
You all know, till now it's probably the coldest winter of the last 3 years.
On the 5th of January 2009 Ivo and me went out to have a sick session in Laboe.
The air had something around -3°C.
It was perfect to test my new NPX-Stuff and it went pretty well.
It was no problem to do some tricks for 1-2 hours.

The everyday's the same feeling
Hey dudes, what's up.
I'm sittin' here in front of my notebook, being totaly depressed while following the windforecast.
And this feeling feels very familiar, because it's every day the same since a couple of weeks.
Every day's school, every day's homework, every day's look at the windfidner forecast.
There is neither good wind with flat water for nice wakestyle nor nice high winds for Megaloops.
But however, I'm looking forward to christmas holidays, hoping for the best, expecting the worst. Maybe I get the chance to rip really hard again.
I think the most of you feel the same.
STAY TUNED, DUDES! ;-)

KLC 08 - winner in "highest Kiteloop"
This Weekend we had the fourth Kiteloop Contest ever here in Laboe.
Saturday we had really nice conditions, and I learned a lot. I almost landed a L3 and I'm close to a Frontmobe.
For a few times I was lit on my 10 and I tried some high hooked kiteloops.
That's probably the reason why I was able to win the KLC 08 with the "highest Kiteloop".
So this was a nice event. I hope next year it's going to be as awesome as this weekend or even better. We'll see.

Checking out the Cable, in Pineberg
11.50 message - Frank Rosin:
Want to check out the Cable in Pinneberg?
Of course I wanted to. I packed my stuff and drove to Frank. Then we drove on to Pinneberg near Hamburg. There we picked up Tim Kummerfeld and met Enno Oldings and Oliver Sauerland at cable.
Frank gave me the new Underground Prototype to test it. And it worked nice.
Tim showed some impressive moves (loaded and on the Kicker), Frank evidenced that he is not just able to ripp the Waves and Enno and Oliver made a lot of action as well.
I was able to do some epic tricks, too. That was calming after the last disappointing cablesession. First I thought, that this cable is to small for me.
I need a little bit more space 'cause I'm riding regular but I found one part there to do it.
Here is a picture of me, doing a nice sbend with the underground Prototype where you can perfectly see the doubleconcave with the two channels next to the outline.

Epic Session
Back from the german championships 08, Stefan and me met each other for a nice kitesession in Bottsand. Christian Böhne, photograph, was there as well.
First I went out with my 7 and I did some pussyloops and then I changed the kite and I was lit on my 10. Time for some powerful moves.
So we had the chance to take some pictures. And they are awesome.
Christian also made the sequences. Thanks a lot, dude.

Kitesurftrophy Fehmarn
Last weekend the Kitesurftrophy 08 ended on Fehmarn Island.
Saturday we started the singles and in my heat against Felix Sorau, i had some easy but on-style-focused tricks. However, Felix made a Slimchance, and the judges decided for him. The Next heat was the looser Final against Nils Wesch. I used the rest of the Wind to make a powerfull Sbend and than I cocentrated on Handlepasses, cause there was almost no wind for me. I made a raileytoblind, a backtoblind and a Blindjudge. But in the end nils did these Tricks too but also a sbend to blind. So it was easier for Nils. I'm sure if there had been more wind I would have been able to do a few tricks more and maybe to beat Nils. Anyway, he did a great heat. Congratulation Nils.
So, for me it's the 4th Place.
Also Congratulation to Tim Kummerfeld, my Teammate. He made the first place.

Back in the day
So I'm back from the Pkra Worldcup in Germany. I spent a whole Week in my car and worked for my Sponsor Core/Carved every day. That was sometimes hard work. But it also was a lot of fun. And it was worth it. For me and a lot of other kitesurfer we were the most professional and active brand. Cause we setuped about 25 Kites each day to give other guys the chance to test our equipment. Of course we also made a lot of party.
It was nice to meet all the guys of Carved/Core and to talk with them about our stuff. Also it was very cool to talk with Frank about designing Kites. A lot of thing were very suprising. Thank you dudes.

German Championship 08 - 3th Place for Lasse Schneppenheim - Juniors Freestyle
Underground erfolgreichI'm back from the German Championship and the Kitesurftrophy 08 in St. Peter-Ording. And first of all: Yes Dudes, I made the third place in the "Juniors"
It was a very nice Event and it was great to see all the other guys again, although the last time wasn't long time ago.
So the first day, there was "no wind".
Tim Kummerfeld, Christian Brill and the other guys took me to a "secret spot" for east-wind. Its was great. The wind was offshore, and there was no wave. It was warm and I was able to ride for 4 hours in my boardshort. I just did all my wakestyletricks, grabbed back to blind, switch to blidn and so on.
The next day we started Race but just for women and men. But in the evening there was a huge tide-way and we all were able to do our best tricks in front of the viewers. I made some huge double-Sbends and a grabbed back to blind. Also I made a very nice backmobe, but I didnt land it. The wind was perfect for my 10.
The next day the single elimintaion in freestyle started. I lost against Tim Kummerfeld in the second heat. Stefan was able to get up to the second place.
In the evening I went very tired and sick. So I wasn't able to make party. I slept for 10 hours and at Sunday I was still a little bit sick and tired.
However, the double elimination started. And I went on further and further until I had my heat for the third place against Florian Staben. I won.
The next heat was against Felix Sorou. I lost my board after 3 minutes and the tide took it under the restaurant there. So I lost.
Tim was able to beat Felix again with a huge and impressive L3, so he made the first place. I feel very happy for my Teammate Tim Kummerfeld. Congratulation.
Stefan Permien lost against Mario Rodwald so he made the second place. However it's a big thing and that's awesome. Of course, Congratulation for Mario.
For the women it was very exciting again but in the end Sabrina Lutz was able to keep her title as the german champion.
Nice one Sabrina.
For me, the third place in the "Juniors" is very cool. It is my first year in the KST and my first german championship. The conditions were very hard, but I gave the best and won a lot of heats. It was awesome. Also the tricks at the Juniors go on and on. Al lot of people can do backmobe, Kgb, Kiteloophandlepass and Slimchance. So it's not very easy anymore.

Dennoch wars n geiler Tag.

Worldcup.
Vielen Dank an Wilhelm Ahrens.

UG Board 2008 - mögliche Designs22. Februar 2008
